YOGA ESSENTIALS - YOGA FOR HIPS
4 part recorded series £40
This 4 part workshop series is designed to show you how yoga and hips have a beautiful relationship for strength & release. Gain a greater understanding and appreciation for your hips and start to feel more supple in your body, increase your agility, and improve your general ease in life
Hips are not a straightforward body part and it can be confusing knowing how best to operate them in yoga - how 'far should we go?' and 'what holds us back?'. I see hips that collapse into their extreme flexibility, and some that can't 'let go', and those that have lost the connection to adapt for ease and comfort. Yoga is known for 'hip openers' but we should also be aware of it's amazing ability to help strengthen this area too. If we don't become hip inclusive, we may be prone to back ache, knee and ankle injury as well as reduced agility literally losing your spring in your step, or worse, never dance another lambada.
You’ll explore the fundamentals in hips (anatomy & function) to make the following progress:
These workshops start with a 'fun' slideshow where we look at the anatomy, & poses (10mins) and then we get into our own bodies - moving them to understand what works best for us, by adjusting, tweaking and experimenting.
The course is £40, please email [email protected] to purchase

- Maintain ease in your movement: soothing lower back, legs and feet ache
- Know when to stop pushing, and what props to start using
- Release tension while exploring your range of motion with a greater respect
- Explore beyond the typical hip opening poses: a wide range of poses looking at what your hips can, or shouldn't or should try or not try to do!
