I practice yoga because of its infinite lessons; they help me cope with what life throws my way, allowing me to live more presently and avoid overlooking the minutiae. The physical benefits are just the silver lining.

Growing up, I moved frequently between Norway, Holland, America, Scotland, and England with my globe-trotting parents (an Anglo-Indian mother of French and Portuguese descent and an Irish-German-American father). While I never felt like I belonged anywhere, I also never felt like I didn’t. I loved trying new things, and when my mother invited me to her yoga class at 14, I reluctantly went. I didn’t like it at first, but over time I fell in love with it. My practice evolves with the seasons, my mood, injuries, or my inner rhythm. When life became challenging, I always found solace on my mat. It only made sense to embark on a journey to become a teacher in 2014, and I haven’t looked back.

I am a qualified Experienced Registered Yoga Teacher (ERYT-500) with Yoga Alliance Professionals and have taught over 3,000hrs of yoga and completed over 1000 hours of training. My inspiring teachers include Sarah Ramsden, who taught Ryan Giggs how to use yoga to enhance his sports performance, and Jason Crandell, who taught me to work yoga into the body rather than the body into yoga. In 2018, I had a life-transforming experience training with Uma Dinsmore-Tuli, the Janis Joplin of the yoga world, who shared her wisdom on Well Woman Yoga, a movement that embraces women's health and vitality. I loved it so much that I repeated the training in 2019! I am deeply grateful to all my teachers for sharing their wisdom, and I strive to honour their practices in my own teaching.

Now based in North Devon, where I moved in 2022 from SW London, I teach with gratitude to my clients who trust me with their practice.

Yoga with Anna has been an incredible journey. I’ve hosted retreats in beautiful locations like Portugal, Corfu, and Zanzibar, and I’ve led family glamping retreats in the Surrey Hills. I teach staff at Fulham Football Club and have worked with high school students, celebrities, and collaborated with other talented teachers. After completing my Advanced Teacher Training, I built a larger studio to accommodate the growing yoga community, which I cherish for trusting me to join them on their journey. I believe in a tailored approach to teaching, helping each person find balance, energy, and capability.

In addition to yoga, I offer Ayurvedic consultations to support people on their health and wellness journeys, integrating these teachings to enrich my practice and my clients' experiences.

My greatest joy is my family. I have three wonderful children who inspire me every day. They’ve allowed me to teach yoga throughout their childhood, both at home and around the world, and I’m endlessly grateful for their support.

If I had to explain why I’ve practiced for 30 years, I’d say I have one of those minds that thinks about a million things before acting. Yoga helps me find peace and quiet, guiding me to explore my femininity while also understanding my yang side.
