​Mum & Baby Yoga

Rebuild your strength, confidence, meet other local mums and deepen your bond with your newborn. Classes consist of yoga poses to rebuild your strength & flexibility with particular attention to back care, core strength and pelvic floor confidence. We also practice breathing techniques to help you keep calm during the early stages of motherhood as well as baby massage. Chanting and singing is not uncommon in these classes either...

​Benefits for Mum
  • After carrying a baby for 9 months and delivering your baby, now is a good time to start taking care of you again - yoga brings a wonderful sense of calm to the mind, important when coping with lost sleep and tired achy bodies
  • We will re-build core muscles safely, respecting our bodies abilities, particularly after labour
  • Tone and regain strength in the pelvic floors, the back to improve posture, legs and arms to feel a sense of strength and empowerment
  • We will stretch out those tired, achy muscles you might be experiencing in early motherhood
  • Learn yoga moves to include your baby
  • Motherhood is not easy, and classes incorporate how to look after you, which will of course help you look after others

Benefits for Baby
  • Bonding - poses encourage communication, play & inclusion; songs and chanting to create familiar sounds they found comfort by in the womb
  • Both you and baby are more relaxed and happier after a yoga session
  • Babies experience a 5 minute massage session in most classes, so we can encourage them to have a good stretch (and cuddle!)
  • Socialising - babies too enjoy the stimulation of being around new friends

If you are unable to make ONE of your classes, you can have a spot at the evening class for a discounted rate of £9.
